| Scene of the RTC M606 Northbound vehicles diverted along slip road |
Fire crews responded at 21:10 last night (20/09/13) to a road traffic collision on the M606 Northbound carriageway at the turn off for Staygate Roundabout. The incident involved a single vehicle that came to rest on the hard shoulder facing south on the northbound carriageway. All traffic was diverted off at the staygate slip road.

| Fire and Ambulance paramedics worked hard at the scene. |
Crews had to remove the roof of the vehicle to extricate the casualty who was trapped within. The casualty suffered serious head injuries but was concious and breathing throughout the operation. When released by the fire crews the casualty was transported to Bradford Royal Infirmary by road ambulance. The motorway remained closed for some time after but has since re-opened.
Fire crews attended from Odsal, Bradford and Cleckheaton.
