Two car collision closes Birkby Lane, Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse

Emergency Services were called to the scene of the two vehicle collision on Birkby Lane at around 6.00pm this evening (05/07/2015). Fire crews along with ambulance paramedics and the police were sent to the scene. The Yorkshire Air ambulance also attended.

Fire crews had to remove the roof of one of the vehicles to extricate one female casualty. It isn't clear at this time whether the casualty was transported to hospital by road or air ambulance.

Police closed the road in both directions whilst the fire and ambulance crews dealt with the scene. The road has since re opened with vehicles passing the scene on one side of the carriageway. Police investigations are now underway to establish the circumstances of the collision.

Two vehicle crash in Cleckheaton.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision on Bradford road at the Junction of Hardcastle street in Cleckheaton last night (05/04/14).

The crash involving 2 vehicles a Subaru and a Fiat Punto occurred at around 8:10pm. This was a severe collision but nobody appeared to be trapped in the vehicles. The Subaru came to rest near Chapel Street where it was abandoned.

A fire crew attended from Cleckheaton station and were required to make one of the vehicles safe.

The Fiat Punto had severe front end damage, debris was spread accross the road which was closed for a short time while Police and Ambulance crews dealt with the injured and cleared the scene.
