Breaking News!!!! Leeds to Bradford Road closed due to garage fire

Fire crews were called to the rear of the above location at around noon today (16/03/13) to deal with a garage fire to the rear of the property.

This was a double domestic garage which was alight with LPG cylinders also involved.

As a precaution as in all cases involving cylinders a 30M hazard zone was implemented. This involved the closure of the main Leeds / Bradford road for a short time whilst the scene was deemed safe. Fire crews used 1 ground monitor, 1 large jet and Breathing apparatus sets.

The road has since been opened and the incident scaled down. At it's height 3 appliances were in attendance from Bradford and Idle stations.
