Man rescued from House Blaze


A man was rescued this lunchtime from his burning flat after a bedroom caught fire in a house on St.Pauls Road, Manningham, Bradford.

Fire crews were sent to reports of a house fire with persons reported. On arrival the male had climb onto the roof to escape the flames and smoke. 

Smoke was seen coming from the second floor window and the male was trying to stay away from the fire. Firefighters who quickly arrived dealt with the situation, the male was coaxed back in to the building and unharmed by the incident. The house has been converted into flats.

Fire crews used 2 Hosereel jets and 5 breathing apparatus to put out the fire which was quite severe in the rear bedroom of the terraced property. Fire crews from Bradford and Fairweather Green attended the blaze. 

Fire Investigation is underway to establish the cause of the fire.
