Motorcyclist Airlifted to Hospital after Taxi Collision

Police have confirmed that a female pillion passenger suffered a broken leg after her bike collided with a private hire taxi in Huddersfield at around noon today. The A62 main Leeds Road was closed for about 2 hours whilst paramedics and police dealt with the incident.

The Air ambulance attended landing close to the scene outside the Syngenta works former ICI plant. Paramedics dealt carefully with the casualty stabilising her before transporting to Leeds General Infirmary

Police are investigating the incident and would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them by using telephone number 101.
