Serious Collision closes M606 Northbound in Bradford morning rush-hour

A Major collision on the M606 this morning brought traffic to a standstill. Fire crews along with Ambulance and Police were called to the scene this morning at around 07:15 (17/04/2015). The crash involved 4 vehicles with most casualties being walking wounded.

The carriageway was littered with debris after the crash and the fire service used their appliances to seal off the road until the Police arrived.

One woman suffered head injuries and was taken to Leeds general infirmary whilst another casualty was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for a check up.


Fire crews make the vehicle safe
Fire crews made the scene safe and police took over at the scene. The carriageway remained closed for 2 hours until the scene could be cleared and lanes opened. The road was fully open again by 10:15am.

Fire crews from Bradford, Odsal and Cleckheaton with the Major Rescue Unit were mobilised to this incident. As part of the investigation into the collision Police would like anyone with information about it to contact them on the Police 101 number
