Vacant Building Fire on Armley Road in Leeds
This was the scene on Armley Road in Leeds this afternoon as fire crews from Leeds (2), Stanningley and Hunslet dealt with a vacant building fire. The call was received at around 3.45pm when smoke could be seen rising from the vents on the roof of the property. Once water supplies were established the fire was quickly brought under control. Crews used 2 Large jets and 2 Breathing apparatus sets along with Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) fans. The outward bound carriageway from Leeds towards Stanningley was closed for a while by the Police while the incident was dealt with. The road has since been re opened.
