A former print-works, Polestar Petty in Whitehall Road, Leeds, was severely damaged in a fire which required at its height Ten pumps and Two Aerial appliances. The fire in the empty property started at around 12:45 Hrs today just 12 Hours since the earlier major blaze at Cross Green.

Clouds of smoke billowed from the building and could be seen from the M62 motorway. The building was well alight and described by west Yorkshire Fire Service as 40% involved. The roof had fallen in and external walls collapsed, such was the severity of the flames.

Two Aerial appliances fought the flames from above using monitors, both CARP's being used as water towers.
