Fire crews were called to the Royal Public House in Town Street, Armley, last night just after 10pm (10/06/2015). This was a building fire involving the attic of the pub. Drinkers were evacuated as firefighters tackle the fire.
Fire crews attended from Leeds, Hunslet, Stanningley and Stanks fire stations, making this a 4 pump incident, with an extra appliance being required for breathing apparatus wearers. In total 1 large jet, 2 Hosereel jets, 4 Breathing apparatus sets and a the Aerial appliance from leeds were used.
Surrounding roads were closed whilst the fire was dealt with, parts of which were still sealed off this morning as Police and Fire investigators examined the scene.
