Four appliances from Brighouse, 2 x Halifax and Odsal were required to deal with the fire at South Edge Works on Brighouse Road Hipperholme after being alerted at 1.48am (27/01/2013). This property used as a motor repair workshop is a two storey building measuring approx. 50m x 30m and found to involve around 20 per cent of the ground floor, including two cars, which were alight. Fire crews used 3 Hosereel jets, 6 Breathing apparatus sets and Positive pressure ventilation fans to clear the property of smoke.
