The fire at the former offices of Maccess, in Nibshaw Lane off Spen Lane, Gomersal brought fire crews responding to the scene after being called at 2:00pm Yesterday (19/12/13). Around 25 firefighters attended this MP x 4 incident with the CARP from Bradford also attending the blaze.
The empty property was 2 storey and crews used 3 Large jets, 2 Hosereel jets, and CARP as an aerial applaince.
Smoke was visible from the top of Spen Lane, as flames licked parts of the building’s roof local people explained

Fire service Group Manager Vince Macklam said: “Nobody was in the building when we got here, as it is derelict.
Engines from Cleckheaton, Batley, Odsal, Morley and Ossett were called to the scene, with a combined aerial rescue pump arriving from Bradford.
Police had put a traffic management system on neighbouring Spen Lane. Firefighters were tackling the blaze into the evening.
