Fire overnight at Seabrook Crisps, Allerton, Bradford

Fire crews called were called out last night to another fire at the old Seabrook Crisps building on Allerton Road in Bradford

Fire crews were called to the 3 storey building just before 9:45pm on Monday evening.

When crews first arrived the 3rd floor and the roof were well alight. Assistance was requested and 6 pumps and an aerial appliance from Leeds was sent to the scene with other supporting appliances.

Crews used 5 Large jets 1 Ground monitor and Bradfords CARP. The fire was prevented from spreading to other parts of the mill which had been used by Seabrook crisps of Bradford.

Fire crews are remaining at the scene damping down with Allerton Road still closed off whilst the cause is investigated.

It is understood there were also concerns about the possibility of
asbestos being involved in the fire with possible run off from the fireground.
