Fire, Police and Ambulance crews were called to the collision at around 07:25 this morning. A Heavy Goods Vehicle had collided with the rear of a mobile crane which were both headed southbound on the M1 motorway near to Woolley Edge services.
The motorway was closed completely at one point with the Northbound carriageway being the first to open later this morning.
