Traffic problems on Godley Lane, Shibden this evening as a bus awaits removal from the roadway. Firefighters from Halifax had dealt with the bus fire. The double decker's engine had caught fire and fire crews used 1 Hosereel jet and Breathing apparatus to deal with the incident. The fire was initially fought with a powder fire extinguisher carried on the bus until the arrival of the Fire service.
There were no reported injures at the scene. Police are controlling the traffic.
